Graduations -Smiles and Tears

Schools out for Summer! Well we made it through our first year of Elementary School for Spencer and Preschool for Trenton. WOW - I feel old! Both boys had little graduation ceremonies. They did a great job. Of course I started crying in the middle of Spencer's. I'm such a baby. I am so proud of my boys. Spencer loved Kindergarten with Miss Gurney. She was an amazing teacher. I hope 1st grade will be just as fun for him, and I pray for a good teacher. It is so exciting to see him learning to read and write. Trenton finally warmed up to Preschool and enjoyed the last couple of months (there were a few months where I had to bribe him to go). Trenton marches to his own beat, but I sure do love that little guy! Here are a few highlights from each graduation.

First Camp Trip of the Season

We went camping over Memorial Day with Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Steve, Chris, Crystal and family, and Noelle and Trent. We went up to Flaming Gorge for the weekend. I forgot how beautiful this area was. It was so nice being in the great outdoors. We had a great time fishing, exploring, going on Grandpa's treasure hunt, riding bikes, hanging out, and (of course) eating. I celebrated my 31st birthday while we were there. All a wanted was a dutch oven feast which my dad prepared for me. I especially loved my Cherry Chocolate Cobbler (yum). It rained part of the time so we went to Vernal to the Dinosaur Museum there. TJ absolutely loves dinosaurs, we had a great time. We did have to cut the trip short because of the rain, but we still had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to many more family camp trips this summer.

Women of Steel - May 16, 2009

I did my second Women of Steel Triathlon this past May. I had a blast and did very will in all three events. Here are my times -
Swim (300 meter) - 8 mins 25 seconds
Bike (12.76 miles) - 46 mins 57 seconds
Run (3 miles) - 31 mins 42 seconds
Total (with Transitions) - 1 hour 33 mins 27 secs
Thanks to all those who came to support me- Jimmy and the boys, Chris (my photographer), Dad, John and Janet, and my good friend Becca. It is nice to know there are so many who cheer me on.
